100% Refundable Pre-Order Deposits

Your $500 CAD pre-order deposit is fully refundable at any time before shipment, for any reason. No questions asked.

Our Commitment to You

At Rubbish Energy, we understand that pre-ordering a product that is still in development requires trust. That's why we've made our refund policy as simple and customer-friendly as possible. We want you to feel confident in your pre-order, knowing you can change your mind at any time.

Pre-Order Deposit Refunds

Eligibility

All pre-order deposits are eligible for a full refund if requested before your order ships. There are no time limits, no questions asked, and no partial refund situations for pre-order deposits.

Refund Amount

You will receive a 100% refund of your $500 CAD deposit. There are no restocking fees, administrative fees, or any other deductions.

Processing Time

Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days. The refund will be credited to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or credit card company, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

How to Request a Refund

There are two ways to request a refund:

Option 1: Online Portal

Use our self-service order management portal:

  1. Visit rubbish.energy/preorder/manage
  2. Enter your email address and order ID
  3. Click "Request Refund"
  4. You'll receive a confirmation email

Option 2: Email Us

Send an email to hello@rubbish.energy with:

  • Subject line: "Refund Request"
  • Your order ID (from your confirmation email)
  • The email address used for your order

Returns After Shipment

Once your Rubbish Energy machine has shipped, different terms apply:

30-Day Return Window

You may return your machine within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price, provided the machine is in its original condition and packaging.

Return Shipping

For returns within 30 days, we will provide a prepaid shipping label. Returns after 30 days (if accepted) may require the customer to cover return shipping costs.

Damaged or Defective Products

If your machine arrives damaged or is defective, please contact us immediately. We will arrange for a replacement or full refund, including all shipping costs.

Cancellation by Rubbish Energy

In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfill your pre-order (for example, if the project is cancelled or significantly delayed), we will automatically refund your deposit in full. You do not need to take any action.

Policy Exceptions

While we aim to be as flexible as possible, the following situations are not eligible for refunds:

  • Damage caused by improper use, installation, or modification
  • Normal wear and tear after extended use
  • Products returned without original packaging (after 30-day window)
  • Products purchased from unauthorized resellers
